Degree requirements: First cycle/Undergraduate level

Students who have successfully completed the Bachelor’s programme in Business Administration and Political Science, or the Bachelor’s programme in Global Management can be awarded a degree of Bachelor of Science from Stockholm University.

Effective January 1, 2016, the degree requirements* are as follows:

Degree of Bachelor of Science, main field of study - Business Administration (Filosofie kandidatexamen i företagsekonomi):

In order to be entitled to a degree of Bachelor of Science with Business Administration as the main field of study the following requirements have to be fulfilled:

  • 180 credits in completed courses (three years of full-time studies)
  • At least 90 credits with Business Administration as the main field of study including a degree thesis of at least 15 credits. The course requirements for students in the Bachelor’s programme in Global Management or the Bachelor’s programme in Business Administration and Political Science correspond to semester 1, 2 and 6 of the programmes. Please refer to the degree outline for detailed information regarding required courses (currently only available in Swedish).
  • 90 credits in other subjects. Please refer to the education plans for each programme for further information. Students who have completed 30 credits in Economics (nationalekonomi) can be awarded a degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics (ekonomie kandidatexamen i företagsekonomi).

 *NOTE: the degree requirements as outlined above will apply to all students who are admitted from autumn semester 2016 onwards.

In order to get a Master's degree from SBS you need to follow the education plan of your specific programme. The education plan is in line with the degree outline, which explains the structure of the programme and the rules regarding your degree.

Accounting (starting autumn 2016)

The programme leads to a Master of Science (120 HE credits), main field of study Accounting.

Apply for your degree certificate

The degree diploma/certificate is issued upon request by the student to the Degree Office at Stockholm University. The diploma/certificate will show the title of the qualification (for example Degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration) as well as the courses that are included. Celebrate your degree! 

Stockholm Business School invites all students writing their thesis to a formal gathering to celebrate their accomplishments. Master students who have applied for their degree will also be invited by Stockholm University to the conferment of Master's degrees in Aula Magna. A formal invitation will be sent to those who graduate each semester.
