Acceptance letters will be sent on 21 March 2017.  Acceptance of the paper implies that at least one of the authors attends the conference and presents the paper.

Competitive Papers / Case studies

Author(s) can submit their fully developed papers to the CBIM for inclusion in competitive session. In this session papers are more formal and involve longer presentations. Papers addressing substantive or theoretical topics in business and industrial marketing are sought for competitive paper sessions. 

We invite author(s) to submit full case studies relevant for business and industrial marketing. Papers/case studies presented in competitive sessions will be shortlisted and considered for further review in special issues

Detailed abstract

Author(s) can prepare and submit an extended abstract to the CBIM. The abstract should summarize the research, including the conceptual framework, description of the method, data, results, and conclusions. No author information, tables or figures should be included in the abstract. The extended abstract should clearly state your (1) Research question, (2) Theoretical background, (3) Method & data used (not applicable for non-empirical papers), (4) Summary of findings, and (5) Key contributions.

Special session proposal

Special sessions are intended for focused discussion between participants on critical topics relevant for business and industrial marketing area. The aim is to derive a greater understanding of the topic. Special sessions can take various formats, as a requirement, the organizers should propose a brief summary of the topic, a chair or discussion leader that is an expert in the area, and three to four other participants, but no discussant is required. For example, a special session may feature 3-4 papers on a related theme/topic or as an interactive panel discussion among 3-4 experts are encouraged.


Code of ethics

Authors submitting papers to CBIM Academic Workshop must adhere to the following code of ethics:​

  • Submission should be the original work of the author(s) and not already published (including journals regular or online, books and book chapters).
  • Submissions must adhere to the recommended formatting and page limits.
  • Authors should not reveal their identities in the body or reference section of the paper and remove identification information from document’s file properties.
  • At the time of submission, the author is required to provide complete contact information for all authors including name, mailing address, phone number and e-mail.
  • By submitting a paper/ abstract/ panel session proposal, the author affirms that he/she will register for, pay the fee, act as a reviewer and appear at the CBIM Academic Workshop.
  • The papers presented at the workshop only will be shortlisted and considered for the special issues.
