Welcome to Stockholm Business School! We hope you will enjoy being part of our department. Here we have gathered information to help you get started with your studies.
Once you have been admitted to a course package or programme with us, you must:
- activate your university account, and
- register for the courses included in the first semester of the course package or program.
Welcome information
In connection with your admission notice, you will receive a welcome email containing information and an invitation to an information event in Aula Magna organized by Stockholm Business School. You will receive information from the Head of Department, the Director of Studies, the Study Advisor, and student representatives.
If you are an international student, you will also receive an invitation to the activities that Stockholm University organizes for newly admitted international students.

Checklists with important dates
Before, during, and after the application period, there are important dates you need to keep track of. Here is a checklist with dates and information that are good to know as you prepare to start studying with us.
Athena – our learning platform
All course-specific communication takes place through Athena. Here you will find your schedule, syllabus, course materials, and assignments. This is also where you sign up for seminar groups when required.
Each course or program has its own Athena site, and you are automatically added to your course/program site by registering for the course. It may take a day from when you register in Ladok until the course appears in Athena.
If you can't find your course(s) in Athena, contact the course coordinators.
After admission

SBS Code of Conduct
An academic approach and way of acting are a vital part of good scientific practice and cornerstones of all higher education. Stockholm Business School (SBS) has developed a code of conduct for how students are expected to approach their studies and behave towards peers, teachers, administrative staff and as representatives of Stockholm University.
Studying with a disability
Stockholm University provides targeted study support to students with long-term disabilities. The support is based on your individual needs and the aim is to facilitate your studies.
The student association Föreningen Ekonomerna
Become a member of the student association Föreningen Ekonomerna. The association consists of several committees, masteries, and projects that together form its operational activities. Its education committee works to further promote student influence within the department and to ensure that the education maintains the highest quality. Föreningen Ekonomerna has a close collaboration with the department’s leadership and includes student representatives in the department’s decision-making bodies.

Academic Advisors assist and answer questions about course selection, grading rules, applications, admissions and eligibility, roll call and admission from the waiting list, credit transfer of previous university studies, degree requirements, and more. They are bound by confidentiality.
