Questions and answers for you as a student

During your studies with us, some of the following questions may come up. Here you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions for our students.

You can take a break from courses in Ladok. There are two types of breaks: "Early break" and "Break".
If you take a break before three weeks have passed on a course, it will be an early break. If you want to take the course another semester, you must apply for the course/course package again and be accepted to be able to re-register for that course for the first time. It is not possible to re-register.
However, if you do not take a break at all or take a break after three weeks of attending the course, you cannot be registered for the first time again (even if you apply and are admitted to the course/course package) but you can be re-registered, if there is place, as long as the course remains.

In order to be re-registered for a course you have previously been registered for but have not yet passed, contact the course coordinator for the semester in which you want to complete the course, and enter your social security number. As a re-registered person, you can register for the exam in Fastreg (no later than five working days before the exam), and you can attend lectures. At the start of the course, you can contact the course coordinator to see if you could get a place in a seminar group. Also, contact the course coordinator if you are unsure of whether the course content is the same as when you first registered for the course or if you have other questions about the course.

You must re-register for the course the semester you want to take the exam. This is done in Athena or through your course coordinator. This may also be the case when you have registered for an exam five times. If that is the case, contact the study counsellor.

The master's thesis must be written in a group of three students.
