This means that students will study from their home country or wherever they wish. This means also that the programme will be free for all nominated students since there will no longer be any social programme to run, or housing to pay.

Current topics in PR & Marketing (period 1)


The course introduces and explores current issues in the field of advertising, marketing and public relation, focusing mainly on the latest research topics and its business and socio-cultural outreach. The course familiarizes students with contemporary perspectives and the progress in the field, serving as a valuable complement to the basic advertising, marketing and public relation course(s). More specifically, even if the course has a firm business administration outlook, the main focus of the course will lay on advertising and public relation socio-cultural application and implication. Students, both through individual and group assignments, are thus offered opportunities to further examine topics such as, among others, cultural marketing communication and design, socio-historical advertising, consumer culture research and public diplomacy.


Current topics in Accounting (Operations Management) (period 1)

Today businesses are facing challenges in the growing markets such as disrupting technologies, changing customer preferences and behaviors. As a result, the organizations are trying to improve their operations to outperform other firms in terms of performance, service and product quality, and cost. Improving operational efficiency is crucial for the long-term survival and success of all organizations.

This course aims to provide the students with an understanding of operations management by providing the student with theoretical perspectives and methods. This will include both the theoretical framework as well as the practical implications with case studies.


Current topics in Finance (period 1)

Perhaps the greatest contemporary challenge to the economic well-being of citizens in developed countries is the shifting of responsibility for managing personal savings from governments and employers to households at a time when financial markets are more complex than ever.

The course will provide students with basic concepts and tools to navigate this challenge and become more conscious consumers of financial products. It will begin with a broad overview of what is the purpose of saving and what are the main lessons from life-cycle theory in this respect.

Further, the content of the course can be organized in two main parts. What you need to know about yourself: this part will focus on how investment decisions should reflect personal risk tolerance, how to set investment goals and how to identify and protect oneself from behavioral biases. What you need to know about the markets: this part will distill key insights from more than 60 years of research on financial markets and how they can be put to practical use in the context of managing personal savings. It will focus on simple illustrations of random walk in financial markets, the benefits of diversification and modern portfolio theory dating back to Harry Markovitz. Particular attention will be given to the issue of active

To be a member, employee or a manager in organizations makes you deal whit questions about management and organizations. In this course you will have the ability to analyse different situations in different kinds of context. This course examines organization and leadership. You will meet perspective on management, organizations and leadership when knowledge presents through out different perspectives. In this course students have had the chance to created knowledge and ability that make it possible to analyse and create strategies for change in organizations.


Current topics in Marketing (period 2)


This course introduces and explores current issues in the marketing field of study, focusing on the latest research, business, and societal developments. Students will have the opportunity to further examine topics as service marketing, high technology marketing, or sustainability and transcendence marketing, both through individual and group assignments, and in this manner widen the basic understanding of the marketing discipline.


Entrepreneurial Marketing (period 1)

This course explores the key toolset of the marketing field that entrepreneurs can use to develop their ventures throughout the entrepreneurial process. Based on the latest research and the most influencing business practices, including all the digital new trends, this course complements both the entrepreneurship and the marketing courses by applying a practical perspective to the understanding, selection, and assessment of the different operational marketing instruments to support both early and later stage entrepreneurial ventures. Students will be invited to define a marketing strategy and pitch it in a competitive session recreating the entrepreneurial atmosphere.


Credit System                             

The Swedish higher education credit system is fully integrated into ECTS, the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System. One Swedish higher education credit (sometimes called credit, HE credit or hp) is equivalent to one ECTS credit.

If you are interested in taking part of Stockholm Business School's Summer Programme then you need to be nominated by your home university. The international office at your home university has to email a confirmation to summer@sbs.su.se . Once the nomination is accepted a link to the online application form will be sent to the student. Last day to apply for Summer Programme 2020 is May 10th, 2020.

Eligibility & Language requirements

To be eligible for studies at Stockholm Business School, you must be registered as a student with one of our partner institutions and have completed one year of undergraduate level studies. As all courses are taught in English, you will be required to have sufficient knowledge of the English languange.
