Introduction to studies at SBS

An introductory lecture will be given for all new Bachelor students on Monday, September 2. We will gather in Aula Magna, Frescati at 18:00 (entering from 17:30)
In connection to the lecture, the student association Föreningen Ekonomerna ( will present their sponsorship/mentorship activities for new students at Stockholm Business School.

Between August 8 and August 22, you must register for the courses included in the program/course package, in order to keep your place! Here is how to do it:

  • Activate your university account at  (if you do not already have a university account). You can do this from August 8.
  • Register via the university account under My Studies by August 22 at

Don´t forget to register no later than August 22or you will lose your place on the program/course. 

Waiting-list applicants

The International Admissions Round to our Bachelor’s programme and course module has been completed and we will not admit any more students this semester. You are very welcome to apply for our courses and programmes again in the future.

IT service

Stockholm Business School uses an administrative system called “Fastreg”. Through Fastreg you can register for exams and seminar groups, access your exam results, see which courses you have registered for and update your contact details etc. Once you are registered for the courses you can log in to Fastreg using the last four digits of your personal identity number. You can access Fastreg through the student website.

When does my registrations appear in Fastreg?

By Saturday, September 1, your registration will appear in Fastreg and you can log in to the system. You use your last four digits in your social security number as "PIN" when you log in for the first time. The system will ask you to change the PIN when you have logged in.

Welcome Information

The autumn term 2019 starts on Monday, September 2 at. 18.00 with SBS Welcome information in Aula Magna, Frescati. Come in good time, enterings from 17.30!

In connection with the Welcome Information, the Association of Economists starts their sponsorship for all newly admitted:

Orientation Day August 28

Orientation Day is an information packed day during the Orientation Week where newly arrived international students will receive information about practical matters such as health care, computer accounts, student life and Swedish language courses. More information here.

Our Academic Advisors have regular visiting and phone hours until June 21. From June 22 the Student Offices is closed and opens again August 27. After June 21 you can contact us via e-mail.

Course Coordinators

At Stockholm Business School we have seven Course Coordinators. Depending on which programme or course module you are attending you will be able to get support from us concerning a number of questions.

The Course Coordinators help with administrative issues related to courses and schedules.

Deferment of studies

If you are unable to initiate your studies during autumn 2018 due to special circumstances, you can apply for a deferment of studies. As soon as you have been accepted, you should send a letter to: Studentavdelningen, Antagningen, Stockholms universitet, 106 91 Stockholm. You have to prove your reasons for deferment. Please note that it can be difficult to get the deferment approved.

Important information about cheating and plagiarism

It is of utmost importance to be familiar with the regulations for cheating and plagiarism at Stockholm Business School.

Living situation

You will need to organize somewhere to live. Finding accommodation in Stockholm can be somewhat difficult. You´ll find information regarding student housing here:
