Jarkko Peltomäki tilldelas 1348 tkr för projektet "Information supply and demand in the stock market". Deltagare i projektet är även Anton Hasselgren, Jussi Nikkinen (University of Vaasa, Finland) och Michael Graham (University of Stellenbosch Business School, South Africa).

Projektbeskrivning (engelska): Information processing is a fundamental determinant of price discovery in the stock market. We utilize new approaches to analyzing information variables to better understanding how news and information search, considered as information supply and demand, interact and affect stock prices. In our research project, we aim to show incremental knowledge of how information supply and demand in the stock market interact, how market participants contribute to the information diffusion, and how information supply and demand jointly affect stock prices.

Forskning om kvinnlig representation

Iñaki Rodríguez Longarela tilldelas 2000 tkr för projektet "The low female presence in corporate Norway and Sweden: A search for some answers".

Projektbeskrivning (på engelska): On September 9, 2016 the Swedish government announced its intention to introduce gender quotas in corporate boards. Its Minister for Enterprise and Innovation stated that the reasons of such regulatory intervention were to be found behind the slow improvements in the low presence of women within the corporate elites. Although this proposal has been finally abandoned due to a lack of support in Parliament, the debate has not receded and the proposal may be brought back in the future.
This state of affairs that this suggested policy is trying to confront is obviously not a Swedish idiosyncrasy since a reduced female participation in all instances of social power has prevailed with almost no exceptions across all countries in the world. This project will try to uncover the main explanations behind this empirical regularity by using quantitative methods and microdata with a focus on Norway and Sweden.

Även Svante Schriber tilldelas 1000 tkr för projektet "Integrating Acquisition Research".
